BIPP Yorkshire meet monthly on Wednesdays from 8pm – 11pm at Guppy’s Enterprise Club in York.

Commercial Photography

Guppy's Enterprise Club

We have another fantastic speaker Tony May lined up on Wednesday 21 February at the usual place, Guppy's Enterprise Club, 17 Nunnery Lane, York at 8pm (talk starts at 8.20pm). Please do not arrive any earlier that 7.45pm as we need to set up the room. 

Cost will be £2.70 entrance fee (and £4 membership fee for the year) which all pays for the hire of the room. Car Park opposite is £2 after 6pm or free if you are a York resident. Licensed bar available.

Details of the talk, as follows:
 

Tony May has been shooting commercial and advertising images for clients for 12 years and specialises in images shot in a studio environment and with lighting at the client's location and covers subjects including products, jewellery and food amongst others. 
 
He performs all of his own post-production and retouching and produces print-ready CMYK artwork for clients.
 
He will present a selection of his images and talk about how they are produced and the challenges involved, including lighting and use of techniques including focus stacking and lens tilts, as well as retouching.
